PROCESS
Multiple thumbnail silhouettes are drawn do experiment with poses and feeling of the character.
Since the character will only be seen from one point of view I aimed for a balance of design and function.

Top 3 Silhouette are then selected and quick sketches are done to get a feel for the character.
The final quick sketches are presented to the client for selection and revisions.

Once revisions are finalized, Line art and a colour palette is selected.
Client & Market Research
Rainbow Crochet, clientele consists of bold curvy women, who prefer bright colors and bold designs. The character top is is inspired by a product the client's top product, bold crocheted bikini tops. in particular the clients favourite version.

A value range is then created to test lighting and a black and white design is created from the line art.
Finally Cell Shading is added to the flat colour work .
